Hi chums!
My fam and I have been to Florida a few times but we have never ventured to any state parks. It's usually just been theme parks and classic touristy things, but this time we wanted to do something a bit different.
We searched online to decide which park to visit and eventually settled on Blue Springs because it said there were manatees.
We arrived late morning and it was about 6 dollars for us all to get in (6 dollars per vehicle).
As soon as we arrived we walked down to the river. People told us that we need to go more upstream to see the manatees so we went on a walk.
It didn't take long to spot the manatees in the water. It was really cool to see them swimming along - although I now have hundreds of photos of grey blobs in the water.
We didn't just see manatees, we saw a lot of other wildlife, like armadillos, birds and some amazing fish.
Later on we went canoeing but I was so terrified of dropping something in the water that I didn't take any pics while in the canoe.
We are going to Wekiwa Springs another day though so hopefully I will be a little braver there!
Love as always,
Emma
