A Magical Evening at the Trevi Fountain

Hi chums!

Whilst I was in Italy I couldn't not go to the Trevi Fountain because it's so iconic, so on my first evening in Rome I went on the metro to go and check out what all the hype is about and I can definitely see now!

Although I didn't visit it again in the day to compare, it just felt so magical and special to be there at night. It was absolutely packed with tourists but nothing could take away how impressive it was. The statues were lit up and the water sparkly in the light as it poured down.

This has been on my list since I saw the ever-brilliant Lizzie McGuire Movie (yes, a Disney channel child at heart!) but unfortunately I didn't find my true love here - a small price to pay!

Someone told me before my trip that an Italian fashion designer had anonymously pained millions to have the fountain cleaned and restored and I have to say they did a great job because the statues shone bright white.

Like many other tourists we had to throw a coin in the fountain and make a wish so I guess we'll wait and see if that comes true!

This an amazing evening at an amazing landmark (and to top it off I got some post-dinner froyo!)

I would 100% recommend visiting here. The only thing I would say is that it is very crowded so keep that in mind but don't let that put you off because it truly is magical!

Love

Emma
